Lasting Grace: A Celebration of the Life & Work of BRIAN DOYLE

We are still mourning the loss of Brian Doyle, a wonderful writer and even more wonderful person. Please join us on Thursday, September 21st, at 7 pm at the First Congregational Church downtown (1126 SW Park Avenue) as we celebrate the life and work of this fine man. The evening will include reflections, tributes, and stories from several of Brian's friends and colleagues, including Robin Cody, David James Duncan, Barry Lopez, Melissa Madenski, Kathleen Dean Moore, Kim Stafford, and several others.

Brian Doyle served as editor for the award-winning Portland Magazine for twenty-five years, and published more than two dozen acclaimed books, including Mink River, Martin Marten, Chicago, The Book of Uncommon Prayer, and Wet Engine.

Doors will open at 6 pm. The event is free and open to the public and will be followed by a reception. Copies of Brian's many books will be available for purchase at both the tribute and the reception.
