Comma Reading Series: Melissa Madenski and Christine Colasurdo
Please join us for the Comma reading series, this month featuring Melissa Madenski and Christine Colasurdo. Hosted and curated by writer Kirsten Rian, the readings combine voices from different literary genres, and writers have the freedom to read from new projects, established pieces, or ongoing works in progress.
Melissa Madenski’s poems, short stories, and essays have appeared in magazines and anthologies. Her first chapbook of poems, Endurance, was published by Finishing Line Press in 2015.
Poet, artist, and nonfiction writer Christine Colasurdo is the author of Return to Spirit Lake: Life and Landscape at Mount St. Helens as well as The Golden Gate National Parks: A Photographic Journey. As a journalist she has written for magazines, newspapers, and public radio. She teaches calligraphy and creative writing at the Multnomah Arts Center. She is working on a second book about Mount St. Helens as well as a collection of poetry.
Upcoming writers for the Comma reading series include Marjorie Sandor, Carlos Reyes, Penelope Scambly Scott, Julian Smith and others. For further information, please contact Kirsten at firstname.lastname@example.org.
